Your Opportunity

Lewis Instruments ltd is seeking a new team member in Saskatoon, SK to work as a Surveying and Construction Specialist (On-site). You will be responsible for training and supporting clients either in person or remotely across our broad range of positioning equipment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

The job responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

· Train and support our clients using our surveying, construction, and machine control equipment

· Become a product expert across our broad range of positioning equipment

· Aid our sales team in developing client relations and demoing our products as needed

· Become generally knowledgeable in our office software (data processing, basic drafting, telematics etc.)

· Provide remote support via telematics

· Rapidly respond to service calls as required to repair/replace components, troubleshoot software, and minimize downtime in the field

· Maintain expertise in Leica’s equipment through ongoing training.

· Help build and maintain client relationships through superior customer service and support.

· Assist our office staff in the Saskatoon location in general duties as needed

Your Capabilities

· Experience working in the surveying industry (construction and/or legal background preferred)

· A geomatics or related civil engineering post-secondary education is strongly preferred, an equivalency in work/field experience will also be acceptable

· Experience working on construction sites considered an asset

· CAD Drafting, and 3D terrain modeling skills are considered an asset

· General proficiency in computer usage required

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a larger team

· Possess a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license

· Access to a reliable vehicle (paid mileage)

· Able to work outside in all weather conditions

· Must be able to work independently and adhere to established safety standards.

· Ability to work overtime, and occasional weekends if required

· Ability to travel as required to a service sales territory in NW Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan

· Must demonstrate initiative, be detail-oriented, and have a commitment to excellent customer service
