Type: Part-time (Excellent opportunity for students!)
Shift: Day Shift (Saturday, Sunday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm)
Summary: Our Sanitation Team is our first line of defense. Sanitation employees are primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of production/process equipment, and some of the facility's common areas.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare production equipment for cleaning by disassembling, cleaning, and sanitizing all food-processing equipment, including storage areas, common areas such as floors, drains, and walls.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment including, but not limited to floor scrubber, vacuum system and portable tank foamer, and other cleaning tools.
- Safely work with chemicals and follow chemical usage labels for application and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct self-inspections after task completion to ensure cleanliness, and compliance with all food safety regulations and guidelines to minimize potential food safety risks
- Performs all tasks in accordance with GMP’s, company policies, and procedures
Requirements:
- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a good grasp of the English language, and be able to communicate, read, write and follow detailed instructions, as it relates to the job, and safety regulations.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multi-task.
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Must be physically fit and able to handle the physically demanding nature of the position
- Good hand/eye coordination, and motor skills.
- Exposure to dust and allergens, temperature variations, exposure to heat, humidity, and wet conditions during clean up.
