About the role:

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for the planning and execution of the daily operational plan required to ensure supply availability to our customers. In this role, the Supply Chain Planner will leverage both operational and commercial acumen to deliver optimal results through a complex supply chain while complying with internal and external stakeholder requirements. This role requires a high level of forward planning along with the ability to adjust plans due to changing market and operational factors.

Key activities:

  • Plan and execute daily/weekly/monthly supply plans for both refined and renewable products.
  • Daily management of all logistical requirements including rail, domestic and cross-border truck, pipeline and marine movements.
  • Liaise with commercial team to develop supply plans to meet customer demands at all terminals.
  • Liaise with 3rd party terminals to develop daily/weekly operating parameters and ensure Greenergy interests are represented.
  • Ensure compliance with Provincial, Federal and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory and pricing positions across all products, storage facilities and in-transit movements.
  • Manage inspection services to maintain quality assurance.
  • Daily operational management of third-party throughput contracts.
  • Effective communication of any deviances from normal operating conditions.
  • Develop and report weekly and monthly KPI’s to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support in budgetary forecasting.
  • Provide business support to Commercial, Risk, Stock, Insurance and Compliance teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Gather and share market intel to aid in the development of the Supply and Trading strategy.
  • Act in a leadership role to support Greenergy’s safety culture.
  • Support SHEQ/PI investigations as required.
  • Act as contributor to project work as required.

  • Previous experience in a planning and scheduling role would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience in rail and/or marine logistics would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience with inventory management would be considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism would be considered an asset.
