XAN Logistics Systems is an asset-based transportation logistics company specializing in temperature-controlled and time-sensitive truck loads. We are experts in cross-border trucking, logistics, and heated and refrigerated freight transportation.

We are currently looking for an HR Generalist located in Newmarket, ON to join our team! The HR Generalist is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process including interviewing, qualifying and onboarding professional drivers. Preference will be given to a HR professional that has experience with recruitment and training of cross border AZ Drivers in the transportation industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Advertise open AZ owner operator career opportunities online on Facebook, Indeed and etc.
  • Conduct pre-screen interviews via email or telephone to ensure the candidate meets company standards and requirements
  • Conduct orientation and training to a new drivers
  • Collaborate with all departments regarding drivers/owner operators performance
  • Conduct retention of owner operator and drivers, communicate with all departments regarding any problems and issues addressed by the driver/owner operator
  • Collaborate with all departments in terms of policies writing and implementation of those
  • Become the 1st contact person for any internal conflicts between employees at the office
  • Suggest the ways to create an innovative improvements for business development
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service focus, proactive attitude and initiative focus
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Sociology, Psychology, Human Resources or related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience recruiting AZ Drivers in the transportation industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of Russian is preferred
  • Effective probing and interviewing skills, in person and over the telephone
  • Creative and effective problem solving ability
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Detail and deadline oriented, with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility in communication styles to communicate and reach drivers (via email, fax, text, phone)
  • Professional writing, editing and proofreading skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00-$75,507.35 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

  • Vaughan, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
