We have partnered with a Public Accounting Firm in Toronto that is looking for a strong candidate that can be part of their team. This is a great role for someone that is currently able to complete two of the following three files. The role involves completing compilation files using the new reporting standards, review file and or complete section or entire small audit files. The firm is a CPA recognized firm. Hybrid or in office work is available. This is a well established firm that is looking for a candidate that can grow within the firm. You would also be responsible for completing personal and corporate tax returns. This role would be great for someone with 1 to 4 years experience as a staff accountant in a CPA Firm that is looking for new role with a fun team. The client will look at candidates that are pursuing the CPA designation but will also consider those that are not if they have sufficient CPA Firm experience. They welcome those candidates with 5 to 15 years of CPA Firm experience but are not pursuing a designation.

Duties:

- Prepare and complete complicated Notice To Reader files from Trial Balance including all lead sheets and working papers (using new rules)

- Prepare corporate and personal tax returns

- Prepare review files

- Prepare small audit files or sections of much larger engagements

- Participate in tax planning

- Lead and distribute files for junior staff

- Review work of junior staff (if applicable)

- Client facing regarding questions

- CRA contact person

Requirements:

- 1 plus years with a public accounting firm

- Caseware exposure asset

- Quickbooks exposure an asset

- Taxprep or Profile strong assets

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
