About the job:

The Equipment Operator is a leader dedicated entirely to supporting Advanced Work Packaging implementation at a capital project organization.


Your responsibilities:

  • Completing daily inspection of equipment and vehicles
  • Operating a Telehandler and Skid Steer, other equipment operation as required
  • Operating site vehicles
  • Unloading/loading and distributing materials to work fronts
  • Confident in high lifts and tight space situations
  • Assisting with general labour duties and material receiving
  • Adhere to all HSSE requirements and site standards
  • Participate in daily toolbox, and weekly safety meeting
  • Reporting to the Department Manager or delegate


Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:



Communication:

  • Excellent communications (written/verbal) skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment

Core Competencies:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with telehandler and skid steer operation
  • Ability to follow direction and be productive with limited supervision
  • Class 5 drivers’ license, preference given to applicants with air brake endorsement
  • CSTS 2020 is required for site access
  • WHMIS 2015 is required for site access
  • Candidates with hydraulic crane and rigging experience are ideal, however this is not required for consideration
