Hopatoo is growing! This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Hopatoo team and further your career in Shopify Web Development. This role will consist primarily of development / coding but will also require managing communication to technical resources to achieve client development targets. From small web development tasks to large projects, you will be part of it all! This position will have the ability to work from home. Daily internal / external video calls and client meetings are required. A business-casual atmosphere is expected.

Responsibilities:

Development

• Development on the Shopify platform to solve a wide array of client requirements, including;
• Store setups
• Theme updates / 2.0 migrations
• Custom solutions to solve customer needs
• Shopify App install and configuration
• SEO & Performance work (SEMRush, Google Analytics, etc..)
• Integrations
• Aiding with UI/UX design / strategy for clients as needed
• Testing and Quality checking all solutions delivered by Hopatoo prior to client review, on all platforms (desktop, mobile, cross-browser)

Estimating/Project Management

• Estimating
• Quickly generating accurate estimates for new opportunities
• Ability to clearly articulate business needs into scope/requirements * Project Management
• Acting as a conduit of communication between 3rd party and the client
• Ensuring timeline/scope/budget are met, quality is obtained, communication is fluid throughout project lifecycle, and customer expectations are always exceeded.
• In addition to managing your own development projects which will consume the majority of your time, you could be overseeing some technical resourcing to achieve your project goals

Other Responsibilities

• Assisting with Hopatoo general and support email address
• Updating internal systems
• Contributing and managing content creation to our Social channels (Website, Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Slack, Etc.. )
• Aiding with other businesses under the Hopatoo umbrella, including e-commerce brands
• Lead generation activities, including marketing campaigns

Skills:

• Customer Service is as important as development experience for this role. In large part, you will be the face of Hopatoo for project delivery
• 2+ years experience with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript/jQuery, AJAX, JSON (Required)
• API / Integration development Experience
• Github experience considered an asset
• Experience & Interest/Dedication with Shopify Platform
• Experience with Magento, BigCommerce, Wordpress considered an asset
• Salesforce experience considered an asset
• Detail oriented, passion for clean code base, meticulous in documentation efforts
• Experience with Trello & Google Drive considered an asset
