As a Business Operations Analyst, you will be involved in supporting the current operational area as well as the launch of several key elements, including a public-facing web service, new payment and an electronic document-handling options, information management driven data repository, and the implementation of a world class data processing facility driven by the newest industry technology.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
  • Provide business planning, research and analysis skills to determine requirements, validate information, assess effectiveness and provide recommendations on opportunities, options, risks and strategies
  • Lead and coordinate projects using a project management framework
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide training and user support to ensure effectiveness and quality of service for internal and external users

How do I qualify?

Business Planning Knowledge, and Research and Analysis Skills

You have:
  • Knowledge of business re-engineering and process improvement techniques and business process modeling to analyze, plan, develop and monitor change initiatives, assess gaps, develop and test options, and identify vulnerabilities and exposure to risk
  • Ability to assess and develop business requirements and innovative solution strategies and can ensure integrity in the development and testing of business solutions
  • Knowledge of performance indicators, qualitative and quantitative measurement and risk assessment
  • Research and analysis skills to research and document business system needs, identify alternative solutions and recommend the most effective course of action
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and performance evaluation techniques


Project Management Skills

  • You have knowledge of project management standards and methodologies and project documentation, gating and reporting standards


Communication and Relationship Management Skills

You have:
  • Oral and written communication skills to prepare and present findings, conclusions, options and recommendations, prepare reports, briefings, operations memos, business/system notifications and other communications for staff, managers and senior management
  • Relationship management, consultation and negotiation skills to build effective working relationships, influence decision-making and enable collaboration with stakeholders


Technical Knowledge

You have:
  • Knowledge of system interfaces and their linkages with business processes
  • Knowledge of systems development life cycle and the user test environment to prepare test strategies and execute test plans
