General Information:

We are looking for a strong candidate with field or engineering background in transformer service that can develop solutions for customer transformer service issues and prepare complete, detailed technical proposals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare quotations for transformer field service

• Estimate costs for quotations

• Work with vendors or contactors as needed for costing

• Develop technical solutions for complex transformer issues

• Be able to discuss technical details with customers and explain solutions

• Attend customer site meetings to view transformers

• Risk review preparation for large proposals

• Review meetings with sales and management

Qualifications:

• Can be work from home

• Location is not critical but preferably based in Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, or Edmonton.

• Will require the ability to occasionally travel within Western Canada to visit customer sites

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Electrical) or Engineering Technologist

• 5 + years of hands-on experience in transformer service and testing

• Excellent written communication skills

• Goal-oriented and self-starter attitude

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
