Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Hybrid - Vernon, BC)

The Talent Acquisition Coordinators are responsible for varied administrative, recruitment, and onboarding duties to support the Kal Tire Talent Acquisition Team.

While many members of the Talent Acquisition team are remote and based in various cities across Canada, our preference is for our Talent Acquisition Coordinators to be based out of the Vernon Office on a hybrid working arrangement. However, equal consideration will be given to those with flexible working hours who could support different time zones per business needs, regardless of their work location.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide recruitment support for the Talent Acquisition Team to assist throughout the entire full-cycle recruitment process.
  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition Team to meet seasonal hiring demands.
  • Source potential candidates using recruitment tools and digital marketing platforms.
  • Conduct resume screening, criminal background checks, and reference checks.
  • Schedule interviews and phone screens working directly with candidates, the Talent Acquisition Team and hiring managers.
  • Participates in career fairs, campus recruitment, and other various networking events.
  • Respond to online job review sites and social media.
  • Update and ownership of Talent Acquisition Team SharePoint.

  • Ability to stay focused while juggling between multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal directions.
  • Flexibility to adapt continuous improvements.
  • Ability to learn positively and collaborate with TA team and with HR shared services regularly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as the Talent Acquisition Coordinators may have to be candidate and hiring manager facing, and other times, they are tasked to produce standard operating procedures (SOP), written business summaries and cases, and reports and trackers .

Education:

  • Post secondary diploma or degree in business, commerce, or human resources and/or any previous work experience in Human Resources is an asset.
