Diversified Rehabilitation Group Inc. (Diversified Rehab) is a private rehabilitation corporation with its head office located in Kelowna, B.C., the heart of the Okanagan Valley.

This position provides an array of services within a biopsychosocial rehabilitation framework to adults with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, and Depression. You will work as part of a larger team to support clients, facilitate various physical and leisure activities, facilitate meal preparation, and perform daily house chores to ensure a safe and clean home environment. You will maintain chart records of daily activities, document client perspectives, observations, and activities that support the client as per established policies and procedures. This position requires availability for mornings and evenings, with some over night and weekend shifts.

Work Experience/ Abilities:

• Experience in complex trauma, anxiety, and depression
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary case-management team
• Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to organize and prioritize
• Ability to observe and recognize changes in individuals
• Ability to establish and maintain rapport with individuals
• Conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills

Qualifications:

• Community Support Worker Diploma or related field
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience
• Cleared Criminal Record Check (through Ministry of Justice)
• Current First Aid certificate
• Food Safe certificate
• Proficient intermediate computer skills: Windows, MS Word, and Excel
• Possess a valid Class 5 at minimum with the ability to acquire a Class 4 Driver's License
