Receptionist/Accounting Assistant - Contract Job at Rideau Supply
Job Description
Rideau Supply is looking to fill a 3-6 month contract as the Receptionist/Accounting Assistant. This position is responsible for welcoming visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Provides support to the Sales/Administration team.
Responsibilities
- Answering the switchboard and directing all inquiries as required.
- Greet and welcome visitors as soon as they arrive.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person.
- Organizing and filing accounting documents
- Compose office correspondence, lists and memos as assigned
- Create and maintain reports, spreadsheets as assigned.
- Daily invoicing
- Filing, general, in house personnel, digital filing
- Reconciling daily credit card payments
- Support and back-up for: ship confirmations, receiving
- Making fresh coffee throughout the day and ensuring lunchroom is cleaned morning and evening.
- Organize and arrange Company lunches, seminars and contests.
- Order and track office supplies to ensure stock is appropriate.
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.
Requirements
- Must have a basic knowledge of operation of standard office equipment and computer operations including Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- High school or equivalent
- Proficient with MS Office including Outlook, Word
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Customer service attitude
- Must be able to work a flexible daytime schedule
