PRODUCTION SCHEDULER

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling incoming projects within our Alberta facilities. The Production Scheduler is also responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of production based on material, employee, and equipment availability. The Production Scheduler communicates with both internal and external departments, such as Sales, Production, and Logistics.

The position of Production Scheduler includes, but is not limited to the following job duties.

Job Duties

  • Consult with production supervisors and manager to schedule production
  • Communicate with production staff regarding scheduling requirements
  • Determine the progress of work and communicate with Operations Manager
  • Enter new work orders into the production schedule
  • Assist in the organization and management of inventory and track Work in Progress
  • Monitor production daily and make adjustments, when and where
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GE.D. or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of the production flow and process.
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative. Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Requires a high degree of professional integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation
