Payroll Analyst Job at Ian Martin
SUMMARY
Our public sector client in Kitchener, Ontario is seeking a detailed oriented individual with strong financial auditing and reporting skills who has worked in large, complex, and preferably unionized environments
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Importing, auditing and correcting EasyConnect imports into payroll
- Payroll GL balancing and per pay balancing to generated T4 reports
- Mid-month and month end Journal Entry (JE) creation for scheduled required payments and voucher request for payment
- Generate post payroll reports and remittances (family support, garnishment, credit union) and adjustment, including all required JE
- Sick Absence importing, adjusting, reporting
- YTD entry and updating, T4/T4A preparation
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Payroll experience in public sector (Preferred) Ideally in an specialist, analyst role or Supervisor/Manager capacity for a medium to large organization
- Payroll accounting, payroll GL balancing, reconciliation, Payroll year end updating
- Ability to work independently, adhere to timelines,
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills, computerized HRIS experience
