Mechanical Tech, Industrial Mechanic, Millwright, apprentice or journeyman Job at Trouw Nutrition
Trouw Nutrition Atlantic is hiring a Mechanical Tech/Industrial Mechanic/ Millwright for the maintenance team at our Moncton Mill. You will do preventive maintenance tasks as well as repairs to insure the mills’ continuous production. We encourage journeymen and apprentices to apply!
MAIN DUTIES:
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of industrial equipment
- Work independently or as part of a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Apply other modern safety programs while working on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Millwright or Industrial Mechanics, Mechanical Tech
- Apprentices are welcome
- Any experience in maintenance in a mill environment is an asset
- Experience with augers and bucket elevators
- 4th Class Power/Stationary Engineer ticket would be a definite asset
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Be able to work under pressure while maintaining the highest safety standards
- Good communication skills (listening, oral, and written)
- Be able to work outside and in cold temperature and dusty condition
- Be able to work in heights (no fear of heights)
- Be able to work different shifts if necessary
- Rotate on call duties with other maintenance staff
- Be available to occasionally work on the weekend
