MANAGER OF INCLUSIVE LIVING (FULL-TIME)
LOCATION: KITCHENER/WATERLOO, ON

KW Habilitation is a local not-for-profit organization that provides a wide range of individualized services and supports to children with any special need and adults with developmental disabilities. We support individuals to live a fulfilling life which is fostered through preschool and early learning supports, respite services, residential services, community participation, and employment supports.

The Manager of Inclusive Living has the delegated responsibility to ensure that all services provided at Inclusive Living settings are within the context of KW Habilitation’s (KWH) vision, mission, values and service principles, policies and procedures, and that all practices are consistent with legislative requirements.

As a representative of KWH, the Manager of Inclusive Living acts as a leader and role model in all functions of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the principles of person directed and centred supports in their speech, presentation, and performance of their duties
  • Staff supervision
  • Individualized support services
  • Operational functions and administrative duties
  • Management of property standards as well as Agency committee and community contact
  • Executes health and safety responsibilities as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act and KWH Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.


Requirements

  • College diploma (2 years) and/or a university degree in a human services related field
  • Minimum 5 years full time direct experience working with people with developmental disabilities
  • Experience collaborating with community and clinical professionals
  • Previous supervisory/management experience an asset
  • Proven leadership skills: excellent communication & organization skills, creative problem-solving, strong decision-making, change management, resource management, strategic thinking, and computer proficiency
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle


Schedule: full-time – flexibility required (evening, weekend, and on-call work)
Start Date: January 2023
