Job Title: Evening Commercial Cleaner

Position Summary

Goldstar Cleaning Services is seeking high energy applicants to join our diverse team of evening and weekend cleaning professionals! We offer excellent wages, flexible hours cleaning commercial businesses located in Fernie, Sparwood and nearby communities.

ALL candidates must be available to work at least 3 evenings per week, and live in Fernie, Sparwood, Elkford or nearby communities. Wages start at $21.00 per hour.

Key Skills/Abilities

• Dependable and detail orientated
• Able to work alone with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated, pro-active problem solver
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Physically able to bend, reach, crouch and lift during work shifts
• Able to operate cleaning equipment – e.g. vacuum, floor cleaners, etc.
• Complete training sessions, as required

Key Duties

• Sweeping and mopping hard surface floors
• Vacuuming carpeted floors
• Cleaning & disinfecting washroom and kitchen facilities
• Garbage & recycling collection
• Secure and alarm premises upon exit
• Adhere to cleaning checklists and protocols
• Adhere to all BC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
• All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

• Available to work at least 3 evening per week
• Previous janitorial cleaning experience, an asset
• Able to effectively read, write and speak English
• Valid Canadian Drivers License and clean driving record
• Vehicle to travel to and from work location
