Your focus will include:
- Responsible for delivering a project free from incidents, injuries and environmental harm by providing safety leadership, ensuring compliance with all aspects of the project HSSE Management System.
- Responsible for the leadership of project culture including safety, employee relations and employee welfare.
- Monitor the progress and performance of all function areas of the Project Team.
- Contribute to tender submissions and review all bid documentation including bid estimate.
- Develop a project schedule that coordinates all activities and resources required to complete the contract.
- Develop a Project strategy with respect to the use of resources, joint venture participants, consultants, subcontractors and Client resources for scope of work.
- Institute project control procedures to facilitate the monitoring of progress and productivity of all activities and the preparation of performance reports.
- Arrange for all progress claims and documentation required under the Contract to be prepared in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor all changes to the Contract scope of work and ensure changes are reflected in required documentation.
What you bring to the table:
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) with requisite Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- 15+ years’ experience in engineering and construction projects, that includes installation, hook-up, commissioning, and hand over processes
- Experience executing lump sum EPC projects is an asset
- Worked in a multi-tasking environment under time pressures and deadlines.
- Demonstrated project management experience within the Oil & Gas and petrochemical industry.
- Demonstrated highly developed communication skills to motivate, inspire and persuade
