The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service requires one (1) civilian to fill the full-time permanent, non-union position of Director of Finance at General Headquarters in Thunder Bay, ON.
Summary:
Reporting to the Chief of Police, the Director of Finance will be directly responsible for the financial success of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service, including the administration of its operation and strategic financial planning.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, and a financial designation (CPA) in good standing is required;
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial experience; five of which is in a supervisory or senior-level consulting role;
- Sound knowledge of accounting, budgeting, taxation, auditing and financial administration within a non-profit organization;
- Must possess well-developed written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent organization skills;
- Ability to work independently;
- Experience in a non-profit sector and/or Indigenous organization would be considered an asset.
