The Delivery Ambassador (Delivery Driver) will play an integral part in our delivery expansion. We are opening delivery to several new cities and we need someone who can help us get our customers their orders quickly, safely, and on time. This is a flexible role with potential for growth as we continue to expand operations. Specific Responsibilities

  • Drive around Metro Vancouver in sunny, rainy, or even snowy weather! Listen to your music, podcasts, radio whatever you want!
  • Deliver product directly to customers, following any instructions provided by Nada and the customer to ensure the safe delivery of goods
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and/or text in a friendly, engaging, and respectful manner
  • Be a positive representation of Nada and its core values, ensuring that every interaction with customers is a positive one even if you don’t see the customer face-to-face
  • Follow all safety measures, procedures, and precautions including safe driving, safe loading and unloading of product, covid health and safety measures, etcetera
  • Take proper and thorough care of the provided vehicle, performing regular safety checks and inspections of the vehicle before and after use
  • Record and communicate deposit jar returns from customers to the fulfillment team
  • Pick up any empty bins, ice packs, upcycled containers or deposit jars and put them in the designated areas of the warehouse, at the end of the delivery

Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Must have a valid Class 5 B.C. drivers license - cannot be a ‘New’ driver
  • Must have a clean driving record and have had Class 5 license for at least 5 years
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized and work independently, often alone, solving problems and making improvements on a daily basis.
  • Outstanding organizational skills to use space efficiently, keeping paperwork and digital correspondence orderly, paying close attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service and people skills; demonstrated ability to engage and wow, customers, and community partners. Despite not being a storefront role, there will be significant opportunities for customer interactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documenting processes, reporting errors, challenges or issues to relevant departments with clarity and ability to ask for help and delegate.
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge about environmental sustainability issues and a more transparent supply chain, passionate and curious about zero waste concepts, business models and lifestyles
  • Physically able to lift and move items up to 30 lbs frequently
  • Past experience in shipping, retail, and/or delivery an asset.
  • Must pass a background check as a condition of employment for this position and provide a driver's abstract (proof of a clean driving record) from ICBC

Compensation, Benefits, and Work Environment

  • $19.52/hr
  • $1/hr worked Nada gift card

  • Vehicle: We utilize the car-sharing platform "Modo". Drivers will begin their shifts by picking up a Modo vehicle.
  • Shift timing (subject to change): We are currently looking for a delivery driver for approximately 12-20hours per week. Monday 9am start (6-8 hour shift), Thursday 8:30am start (6-8 hour shift). Occasional Tuesday and Wednesday (4 hour shift)
  • Shift includes picking up the vehicle, driving time, and time to load and unload the car and any other duties required.
  • Route: Various depending on the delivery zone. Nada is currently expanding delivery to: North and West Vancouver, Bowen Island, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey, and Richmond.
