Continuing Education
In response to regional, community and industry demand, we provide a range of customized non-credit pre-employment programming, skills development, safety training and community interest courses. A small team ensures that the offerings through Continuing Education (CE) meet the needs of students, our industry partners and our community. As a member of the Continuing Education Department you will be contributing to a team of goal-orientated, innovative and passionate individuals with a shared focus on delivering exceptional service.
The Role
Courses are offered across the college service region at campuses in Grande Prairie and Fairview. Our department is continually seeking dynamic instructors to teach in a variety of delivery areas, some of which include:
- Administrative
- Business/Management
- Computer Programs and Software
- Accounting
- Human Resources
- Sales and Marketing
- Customer Service
- Personal/Professional Development
- Various General Interest Areas
Please Note: these positions are on a casual, as-needed basis, and could include instruction for daytime, evening, or weekend course offerings.

Candidates interested in facilitating these courses must have professional experience/qualifications in the related subject area(s). Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience teaching/coaching adults. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
- an entrepreneurial spirit, specifically one who is willing to take a risk to create opportunities;
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and
- a high level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.
