Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Advancement Services, and supervised by the Senior Campaign Officer, the Campaign Operations Officer works to execute strategies for continuous improvement for the Campaign planning phase of Carleton’s next historic fundraising effort.
The incumbent will work with colleagues across Advancement to socialize policies and procedures, implement and train staff on digital and other tools and otherwise prepare the university’s and Advancement systems for success in the Campaign.

The incumbent will work with colleagues across Advancement to socialize policies and procedures, implement and train staff on digital and other tools and otherwise prepare the university’s and Advancement systems for success in the Campaign.
Qualifications: The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Advancement operations/advancement services.
- Extensive experience with donor-focused best practices.
- Expert knowledge of data governance and data management principles and practices.
- Excellent follow-through and leadership skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including tact, discretion, and confidentiality, which must be exercised when dealing with all constituents and colleagues.
- Must have strong skills and fluency in software used in data analysis and reporting including office productivity applications, presentation tools, CRMs, databases, and other applications. Must be able to keep current on developments in this area.
- Excellent knowledge of the university’s structure, procedures, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills; must have the ability to organize work effectively in a fast-paced office environment, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Must have demonstrated excellence with time management skills; must have the ability to simultaneously work on several assignments with pressures of multiple demands, interruptions, and changing priorities.
- Demonstrates excellent service delivery.
- Must have an ability for problem-solving and exercise resourcefulness
- University degree.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in Advancement Services or related areas with progressive and proven experience in Operations.
