Torcan Lift has been providing its customers with quality aerial lift and material handling equipment in and around the Greater Toronto Area since 1999. Opening its second location in the Cambridge area in 2019. Torcan Lift Equipment is seeking to hire a full time, permanent aerial lift technician/mechanic. Our team is looking for a driven, independent, and knowledgeable individual who is ready to grow and excel in their career!

Hourly rate of $35.00 to $40.00 depending on experience

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Repairing and maintaining various aerial lift equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts

- Extremely developed analytical and problem solving skills to assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting any complex mechanical problems

- Maintenance and repair of complex electrical and hydraulic systems, while using a high degree of judgement

- Completing service documentation in a timely manner

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining various Aerial equipment to safety and working standards

- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting any complex mechanical problems

- Mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines and knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems

- Maintain and clean and safe work area, and abide by the all procedures and protocols

- Flexible in a fast paced environment

- Own tools applicable to position

- Strong customer service, verbal and written skills

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently

- Knowledge of equipment manufacturers such as JLG, Genie, and Skyjack is an asset
