Emil Anderson Maintenance (EAM) is the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s Road and bridge maintenance contractor for Service Area 26 (Skeena).

Emil Anderson Maintenance | Skeena is seeking applications for winter highway maintenance worker. Area 26 Skeena includes Terrace, Kitimat and Nass areas. This is a seasonal, full-time position consisting of operating plow trucks as well a manual labour. Multiple positions available.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Removal of snow and ice by using snow removal and/or sanding equipment
• Completion of pre-trip and post trip inspections
• Changing snow plow blades
• Doing maintenance and minor service work on equipment
• Safely operate snow plowing trucks and equipment
• Any other duties as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

• Minimum class 3 with air brake endorsement
• Previous snow plowing experience is preferred
• Willing to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays
• Clean drivers abstract
• Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
• Working safely is a condition of employment.
