Peeters Mushroom Farm is a family owned operation that has been serving communities with high quality mushroom product for 40 years. Peeters is excited to be seeking to add a member of our team in the position of:

Full-Time Weigher/Sorter

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Weighers/Sorters weigh and sort mushrooms according to grade (#1 or #2 mushroom) and according to size (#1’s, buttons, large, stuffers, silvers). There are three basic positions in this area of the farm. Work is rotational in these following areas:
1. Packaging Machine - The weighing individual cups/trays on a scale and places them on a conveyor belt and through a sticker machine. The trays of mushrooms are stacked 17-20 trays high on a skid.
2. Bulk Area - The individual is responsible for sorting and weighting, 5 and 10 lb. boxes and plastic trays of mushrooms.
3. Filling Cups - may be responsible for taking cups out of the boxes they are shipped in and placing them on hard-plastic trays and stacking the trays on skids.

• Fully trained and approved, Weigher/Sorters are responsible for moving carts and skids as needed, in and out of coolers. The Weigher/Sorters assist with skidding boxes of mushrooms for shipping, cleaning mushrooms and debris from their work stations, catching mushrooms in boxes from the slicing machine, assembling cardboard boxes and lids, etc.

Qualifications

• No experience is required as full training is provided.
• Ability to speak and read basic English is required
