Position Summary:
As a UCP, you will support the nurse with medication administration, documenting and supporting Activities of Daily living (ADL), and other general support duties.
Are you a PSW but your qualifications don’t match what we are looking for below? We will still look at your resume! Even if you don’t have all the qualifications, don’t let that deter you from this opening. We are happy to train you up into the UCP position.
Qualifications:
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) with Medication Administration Certification or equivalent, required
- Preferred previous UCP experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong Team orientation
- Able to prove previous focus on Resident Centered Care
- Ability to relate well with seniors
- Must be able to work independently
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assist residents with ADL’s
- Medication Administration
- Assist with resident personal needs
- Thoroughly document ADL’s
- MSDS and WHMIS knowledge required
- Other duties as directed
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Licence/Certification:
- PSW or DSW certification, or are you a nursing student (preferred)
