With headquarters north of Barrie and operating in the greater Simcoe County area, the successful candidates will be responsible for maintenance and repair of commercial trucks and construction equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy trucks, Caterpillar, John Deer, and other machinery either in the shop or on customer sites
- Perform inspections, diagnostic tests, troubleshooting, road tests, and general vehicle repair
- Perform preventative maintenance services and maintenance related work as required
- Conduct safety checks, inspections, and certifications on vehicles and equipment
- Use a wide variety of hand and power tools, use a variety of cleaners and solvents
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Work closely with an experienced team to provide great customer service
- Work in compliance with Company Health and Safety policies and OHSA standards
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- 310T license or apprenticeship required
- Heavy Equipment license considered an asset
- All levels of experience are considered
- Ability to work as a team with employees and managers
- Ability to work in a time efficient manner and perform quality work
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills (oral and written)
