GENERAL FUNCTION
Reporting the Human Resources Manager, responsible for managing talent acquisition and onboarding new hires for the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka Association. This includes managing Dayforce postings, external and internal recruitment and onboarding processes. This individual will be responsible for recruiting high quality candidates as well as implementing a recording and tracking system to pre-qualify staff, interviewing, referencing and onboarding of new hires, and policy and procedure training, with prospective candidates, building a best hiring practice to support front line managers in their recruitment and selection needs. Work closely with front line managers to support and expedite their high volume recruitment needs.

- Provides leadership and oversees the hiring practices of staff for YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka. Recruits, engages, cultivates relationships and provides needed resources for managers in order hire best fit candidates.
- Develops and maintains collaborative and strong relationships with YMCA supervisors across multiple sites, working closely with them to maximize the effectiveness of staff recruitment practices.
- Attracts & builds a pool of candidates by utilizing a variety of recruitment strategies.
- Finds ways by which technology can enable streamlined recruitment practices.
- Ensures the YMCA brand is maintained through the recruitment process and meets all YMCA recruitment policies.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for recruiting and selection processes.
- Ensures candidates meet all employment eligibility requirements in accordance to the YMCA Child Safety and Protection policy, Human Rights Code and AODA.
- Tracks and reports on relevant recruiting metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identifies areas of improvement. Anticipates future recruiting needs and recommends strategies to develop candidate pools.
- Acts as an ambassador for the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka both internally and externally. Builds the profile of the Association by clearly communicating the benefits of working for the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and available job opportunities.
- Ensures hiring packages for each candidate are complete and submitted to HR within their deadlines.
- Works with the hiring manager to develops an onboarding and orientation plan
- Establishes rapport and maintains effective relationship building behaviours.
- Understands and participates in YMCA philanthropic commitments, imparts this knowledge upon staff, volunteers, families and the community, connects with families and offers opportunities to give, either financially or their personal time, including participation in special events within the centre and the community.

- Adherence to all provincial and federal legislation relevant to job description.

- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in related field
- 3 years’ Full cycle, high volume recruitment experience
- Demonstrates progressive understanding of the YMCA and ability to establish strong relationships with community partners and government agencies
- Thorough knowledge of legislation relevant to the position
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven ability as a team leader
- High proficiency in MS Office, computer aptitude and social media savvy
- Mandated training is required before or shortly after commencement of work: Child Safety and Protection orientation, AODA training, Health & Safety Awareness training, Bill 168 (Violence & Harassment in the Workplace) training, PCI Compliance
- Clear Police Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Must be able to work flexible hours based on client needs
- Must have a means and the willingness to travel to different locations within the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka

- Compensation $40,000 annually (37.5 hour work week)
