WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Manage / Lead Custody Application Support Team with I&TS to ensure the applications and the related infrastructure are operational and meet the required Service level agreement with business. To ensure production environments are fully operational. This opportunity is to coordinate all production related activities with vendors. This entails ensuring that all appropriate Operating System and System Software has been installed. with any required upgrades or security patches, keeping up with technology currency and software currency. Ensure the latest application codes are implemented. In addition support any 3rd party applications involved to support the business applications.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Planning & coordination production releases and development with the vendor as managed services
- React to problems in a shortest possible time
- Coordinate / help Production related requests
- Create change records (EA/AR/IM) when required
- Maintain Operations Manual (OM) documentation for production control
- Manage a schedule for tasks / projects / groups as required across the varied server environments and teams
- Helps to maintain the different environments within the Business Channels support group
- Create/Modify JCL scripts and ZEKE schedule of the jobs as required
- Assists in the setup and in troubleshooting any issues that arise
- Plan & assist in assessing hardware / software requirements as required , executing & deploying
- Conflicts and issues resolution and escalation
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
- Candidate requires a post-secondary education (College or University)
- Five plus years’ experience with managing production applications
- Basic scripting knowledge to code using JCL, Unix and Windows
- Database knowledge and should be able to execute basic queries
- Platforms: Mainframe/HOST, Microsoft Windows 2012 +,AIX/Unix
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-have
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Able to write database queries using SQL
- Networking knowledge ( Load Balancer , Firewalls, Networking protocols etc.)
- Facilitation Skills
- Presentation Skills
- Different tools (E.g. mainframe, FX, CRT, ….. )
- Middleware software (Mainframe, DB2, WebSphere, IIS)
Education / experience
- University degree and postgraduate qualifications, or equivalent combination of education and Supplier Management/Relationship management/stakeholder management experience
- Exceptional business and financial acumen
- Metrics and performance management background including data management and analysis for executive view
- Exceptional communication skills (Verbal and Written)
