Opportunity:

Cachet Homes is growing quickly, we are looking for a Site Coordinator/ Safety Representative to oversee safety on site and take over construction from Quality Assurance to PDI sign off. The appropriate candidate should have 2 years or more of low-rise residential experience in a high-volume production environment. We are looking for a Site coordinator for our site in Arthur.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate deliveries of materials to site in an organized manner

- Coordinate and schedule trades as necessary to meet tight deadlines

- Ensure a clean, safe working environment at all times on site

- Install safety rails as necessary and any other safety materials required

- Chair JHSC meetings monthly with trade partners

- Chair site safety meetings with internal staff as necessary

- Manage and coordinate all safety materials and paperwork necessary to ensure efficient tracking of safety violations, warnings, inspections etc.

- Assist in ordering and managing lumber, steel, and trusses to meet production expectations

- Assist Superintendent and Finishing Superintendent as necessary to complete the job

- Assist in conducting frame checks prior to insulation

- Assist in coordinating municipal inspectors on scheduling inspections and rectifying deficiencies

- Update production schedule weekly for Site Superintendent and finishing Supervisor

- Track and manage material rentals with vendors

- Work as a team in order to meet tight deadlines

- Mentor, coach, train all staff in order to grow the business

- Build relationships with inspectors, staff, trades, and homeowners

- Assist Superintendent and Finishing Superintendent in quality control

- Send out Q/A and PDI items to trades. Track, and manage items in order to complete deficiencies as soon as possible

Required:

  • 2 years residential construction experience in a fast-paced high-volume environment, prior safety knowledge preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other health and safety regulations.
  • basic understanding of contracts, plans, and specifications, as well as construction methods, materials and regulations. Includes knowledge of all trades, staff responsibilities, scheduling and scopes of work.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required, both oral and written. Willing to take responsibility and be held accountable for results
  • Skills in building relationships with a broad network of contacts, including trade partners and suppliers
  • Proficient with MS Office software; experience with NEWSTAR an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$75,400.32 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Arthur, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
