Slingshot Transportation Inc. is expanding again! We have an some exciting new opportunities for Yard Coordinators to join our team in Calgary.

Schedules Available: Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday

Shifts Available: (1)3:00am - 13:30 (1)12:30 - 23:00 / (1)5:00am - 17:00

As the Shunter Lead Hand you will be responsible to monitor the drivers start times & load departures, check in of all inbound carriers and coordinate assign doors, oversee all trailer moves required by customer, maintain the yard and inbound laneway and support dispatch operations overnight.

Requirements:

Valid Class 1 License - 2yrs verified experience

Thorough knowledge and understanding of Canadian and U.S. highway, security and safety practices – CVOR, US DOT FMCSR– CSA2010 and Load Securement.

Through knowledge of ELD’s – Keep Trucking experience an asset

Experience with both dry and refrigerated trailers

At least 2 years dock and yard experience preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to identify and evaluate malfunctioning equipment and recommend corrective measures

Strong verbal and written English

Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook an asset

Working knowledge of smartphone technology an asset
