Fusion Security is currently seeking a talented professional for a Senior Security Guard role on the beautiful Sunshine Coast for Full-time positions. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting and securing the property, personnel, and information against theft and vandalism, controlling access to facilities, maintaining order and safety under the designate authority of the owner of the property.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• A valid BC Security Guard license
• Minimum of 2 years commitment to the position
• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in the security and customer service industry
• Excellence in customer service and professional deportment
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• A high standard for safety and a passion for security
• Additional certifications are an asset: Occupational First Aid level 1, 2, 3, AST, etc.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate must perform some or all of the following duties:

• Patrol assigned areas to guard against theft, shoplifting, vandalism and fire
• Provide assistances to tenants, visitors and contractors
• Operate security control-room equipment to monitor establishment activities
• Ensure the establishment safety and emergency procedures are followed, responding to fire alarms, bomb threats and other on-site emergencies
• Observe and keep records of security related activities in written or electronic form
• Respond to and investigates alarms from businesses as required
• Enforce regulations of an establishment to maintain order in accordance with site manuals and client instructions
• Look for and act on opportunities to provide added value and exceptional customer service in all interactions and/or duties
• Analyzing information and evaluations results to choose the best solution and solve problems
