Overview:
Commissionaires Great Lakes offers an immediate opportunity for a versatile, highly motivated Security Professional. We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills, strong working knowledge of computer systems, CCTV experience, a positive attitude and the ability to provide excellent customer service, security and protection for our clients site. As a front line representative of our company and clients site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multi task and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive internal and external patrols
- Monitor CCTV cameras
- Issue contractor keys and access cards
- Respond to emergencies and building alarms
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and deportment
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional working relationship with employees, visitors, and clients
- Complete site reporting requirements
- Recommend ways to improve physical security
- Ensure that the team adheres to the CGL Policies & Procedures
- Handle confidential information with a high level of discretion
- Organize the training of new staff
- Assist in the preparation of time sheets and schedules (when required)
- Provide strong leadership to the team
- Other duties as may be required by the site supervisor and client
Required Education, Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- The ability to stand for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols
- Strong understanding of computers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make quick and sound decisions
- Customer service/reception/administrative skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and perform in stressful situations
- Strong understanding of security related principles
- Strong managerial/supervisory skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential
Shift Timing:
Monday-Friday: 1000-1800
