Loss Prevention Services Limited (LPS) is the premier provider of security personnel assisting a wide client base
LPS is currently seeking PART TIME and FULL TIME applicants in Nepean / Ottawa / The Glebe, Ontario. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong knowledge in the Criminal Code of Canada, Citizens Powers of Arrest, and Trespass to Property Act and have a security orientated education
Specific Expectations - Working in retail environment to deter anti social behavior
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide security to people and property
- Follow proper procedures and protocols
- Write extensive incident reports while utilizing knowledge in Trespass to Property Act and Citizens Powers of Arrest
- Represent Loss Prevention Services in a professional manner at all times
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- High school Diploma (preference will be given to Police Foundations/Law & Security graduates)
- Cell phone with a data plan
- Ability to work on weekends
- Physically fit to walk for extended periods of time
- High degree of honest & integrity
- Reliable vehicle is an asset
Compensation:
- Entry level position: $16.00-$18.00 per hour based on experience and education

Part-time hours: 28 per week
Salary: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

PPE as necessary will be provided
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Security: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Ontario Security Guard License (required)
