Tour Preparation/Route Manager

Part-time or full-time, flexible schedule, familiar with online mapping and navigation software, to work in a family-run business and a small office with a cooperative team spirit in a nice rural location. Organization and attention to details important. 10 minutes from Hubbards, the office is relaxed, friendly, and rural enough that you will need a car (or bicycle) unless you live very close by.

About Us:

Freewheeling Adventures offers an amazing collection of guided and self-guided bicycle tours, walking tours, and hiking holidays, with excellent planning, attentive vehicle support, and excellent rental equipment. We are a small home-based family business. Founded in 1987, with a garage and twelve new bikes, it now employs a dozen close friends and family, year-round, and a wonderful cadre of well-informed, kind guides in season.

Position Summary:

The Tour Preparation/Route Manager is responsible for preparing all tour materials for clients and guides, including route descriptions, maps, gps tracks, etc. This role also includes development of new tours while maintaining current tours and ensuring all details are accurate, relevant and up to date. This is a collaborative role that will require the ability to work well in a small team. The seasonal nature of the business requires more hours in the spring and summer and allows for a more flexible schedule in the fall and winter.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Improve and refine tour presentation and resources.

· Maintain, edit, and improve route library using RideWithGPS.

· Maintain, edit, and improve tour documents (Route Instructions, Guide Instructions, Maps, etc).

· Ensure all tour materials are in place and delivered to both clients and guides on time.

· Liaise with developers (app and web) to keep route and tour content current across platforms.

· Custom and new trip itinerary development.

Required Skills:

· Familiarity with online mapping and navigation software (RideWithGPS, Google Maps).

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator).

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative, open office setting.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
