JOB TITLE: Development COACH (U8-U12) JOB DESCRIPTION

REPORTS TO: Grassroots Manager

OPEN TO: Canadian applicants only

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-Time

Founded in 1968, Richmond Hill Soccer Club (RHSC) is the largest soccer club in York Region.
We are an OPDL, Ontario Soccer Gold Standard club who enjoys working relationships with the
York Region Soccer Association, Ontario Soccer, and the Canadian Soccer Association. We
have nearly 8,000 members currently playing soccer and provide year-round development
programs for players, coaches and referees. Our professional staff with qualifications and
experience of international scope enable us to take pride in being a leader in community soccer
development.

LOCATION: • 1370 Elgin Mills Road East Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada • Additional work will
be required at soccer fields or sports facilities around Richmond Hill, the Greater Toronto Area,
and some further locations as required by the Club, the York Region Soccer Association, or
Ontario Soccer

JOB SUMMARY:

• Lead and manage assigned team(s)
• Coach games, training sessions, festivals, tournaments
• Plan and execute training sessions in line with RHSC training model
• To improve players at Stage 1/2/3 of the Canadian Sport for Life model (CS4L)
• Act as a liaison between parents/coaches/players from the team and the club
• Work with Grassroots Developers and Grassroots Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) TECHNICAL

• In alignment with the Ontario Soccer Long-Term Player Development Plan, develop and

• Promote and support the RHSC brand and Ontario Soccer’s player development model
• Travel with the team to all away games; attend all games
• Be punctual for all team events including training sessions and games
• Oversee identification and selection of players for your age group throughout the year
• Wear attire provided by RHSC

2) ADMINISTRATION

• Administer and coordinate the Club’s policies
• Cooperate with the RHSC administrators to ensure your team is all set before games
• Ensure roster sheets are correct
• Prepare player evaluations
• Attend RHSC coach’s meetings

3) CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Support the vision and philosophy of the Club and assist in providing membership

• Participate in all team related events

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Age appropriate LTPD certifications(FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, Soccer for Life
• Making Ethical Decisions, Making Headway in Soccer, Respect in Soccer
• Understanding of Ontario soccer Long Term Player Development model
• Valid driver’s license and accessibility to a vehicle
• CRB Police Check(Police Vulnerable Sector Check)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Coaches will report to Grassroots Developer or Grassroots Manager
• Sessions will take place on weekday evenings and/or at weekends

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
