Job Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician

We are looking to hire a registered pharmacy technician to work in our clients pharmacy in a specialty store in the city of Brampton, Ontario. You will be accountable and responsible in dispensing medication in various facets of their industry. As a regular technician your main job will be to follow the guidance of the pharmacist and be a productive team member. This is a remote dispensing location, and this position is a non-retail one. Candidate will be expected to make preparations for the coming week in addition to checking prescriptions. This assignment offers full time hours from Monday-Friday. Shifts will be 9 AM to 5 PM with a half an hour unpaid break. System knowledge is not required.
This is a 1 month contract to sign with ongoing monthly extensions. Possibilities of conversion to full time permanent job are also on the horizon based on consistent high quality performance in the contract. What we expect you to do?
- Check prescriptions
- Maintain medical profiles
- Compound and dispense prescribed medications
- Provide excellent customer service
- Coordinate clinical investigations
- Evaluate prescription labeling, blister packaging and advertising
Qualifications:
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Canada
- Excellent customer service, leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy
- Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada certificate
- Proficient with pharmacy operating systems
- Availability for some evening and weekend shifts
- Injection certified
