The Recruiter is a member of our HR team, reporting to the Sr. VP, Human Resources. This role will assist with management of the recruitment function across the organization with a focus on ATS management, recruitment, and organization.

***8 Month Contract***

The Recruiter for Roots will be responsible for and evaluated on the following:
  • Manage the complete recruitment cycle including: Preparation of job postings & descriptions in accordance with Roots standards; resume review and analysis; conducting interviews; hiring recommendations; preparation of offer letters; onboarding and introductory training of new employees.
  • Maintaining and managing HRIS/ATS system (Dayforce) including maintaining system documentation, being a power user, generating reports and training others to use the systems as needed
  • Coordinating the scheduling of interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Supporting the streamlining and elevating of the onboarding experience
  • Developing and providing monthly analytics and reports
  • Supporting hiring managers to ensure an effective hiring process and candidate selection
  • Updating and maintaining accurate job descriptions and organizational charts
  • Develop, update and implement talent communications
  • Providing administrative support to ATS front end users
Top candidates for the Recruiter role will have the following:
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in an HR Recruitment role, preferably in a retail organization
  • CHRP or CHRL/CHRE designation or working towards designation an asset
  • Expert knowledge of HRIS and recruitment systems
  • Ability to set priorities and undertake multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal, formal and informal) as well as strong facilitation skills with a senior audience and ability to simply and concisely communicate complex information
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Must be able to represent Roots in a positive manner both internally and externally
