Description:

Our Client is looking for someone to support their construction season as a Field Environmental Supervisor to work as part of their Rec/Rem team. This group is responsible for managing stage one site investigations, stage two drilling types, various Rem/Rec activities, including biopile hauling (remediation), site reclamation, etc. They are looking at it from an owner's perspective, so much of the hands on work would be done by a 3rd party that would be supervised by this person, but from time to time they will need to get hands on with some of the work.

Sites are spread out throughout NE BC, primarily north of Fort St John. They include upstream oil and gas wellsites, remote sumps, possibly compressors etc.

Primary expectations from a day to day /shift basis include:

• travel to FSJ, possibly go into the client's office for a day, or go right to camp
• work remotely on their laptop
• give out permits to work, review hazops, signing off on contractor tickets
• program management (they use generwell an asset retirement software)
• reviewing siteview data (software)
• run morning toolbox/kickoff meeting
• if low risk project, likely head off to other projects, if high risk then stay and supervise the work
• may be asked to do scouting, site visits for them, high level estimates on work needed to be done, possibly helping develop project plans and field work schedules, some discussion with landowners
• There is a large amount of paperwork and reporting required from this role

Must Haves:

• done reclamation/remediation projects
• level 1 site investigations
• issued permits to work
• producer/owner experience
• experience on restored leases (not new builds)
• extensive field experience, staying in camp

Nice to haves:

• live in the FSJ area or have somewhere to stay there
• estimation, project planning experience
