Job Title: Pharmacy Manager

Salary: $60-65/Hr

Our client is an independent pharmacy near Salmon River, Nova Scotia and they are looking for a professional Pharmacist to assume the position of Pharmacy Manager. This is a full-time position starting January 15th, 2023.
This Pharmacy uses Kroll for software system. Injection/Methadone certification is a requirement of this position. Must be willing to take on responsibilities associated to Pharmacy Manager. The Nova Scotia College of Pharmacy requires a Pharmacy Manager to complete a licensee education training program. If you do not have this accreditation, you can still apply for this position! Details:
- Injection/Methadone certification required
- 3+ year experience (in Canada) as a fully licenced Pharmacist
- Must complete/have completed online training licensee program
- 3-week vacation
- 100% Employee paid benefits
As a Pharmacy Manager your duties may include:
- Taking ownership of inventory, staff, schedules, etc.
- Supervising staff to ensure they follow pharmacy standards
- Checking prescriptions to ensure proper dosage
- Dispensing prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers and communicating dosage amount, adverse effects, and other important indications
- Advising customers on selection and use of non-prescription drugs
- Maintaining medication profiles of customers
- Ordering and maintaining stock of pharmaceutical supplies
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacy
- Have been a practicing Pharmacist for 2+ years
- Injection Certification is a requirement for this position.
- Experience with pharmacy systems, specifically Simplicity
- Have Pharmacy Manager accreditation, or be in the process of obtaining accreditation
- High level of interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Great attention to detail
