Operations Administrator Job at GFL Environmental Inc.
GFL Environmental is looking for an Operations Administrator to join our growing Operations team out of our Niagara, ON.
SCHEDULING
Assist the Logistics Supervisor with scheduling duties as required.
Assist in receiving, processing, and tracking all scheduling communications (work requests, emails, work orders and verbal requests).
Distribute soft and hard copies of the finalized daily work schedule as per established protocols.
Assist with the scheduling, need for and availability of rolling stock and production equipment as required.
Assist with the scheduling of subcontractors, suppliers and other resources as required.
Assist in contacting and communicating scheduling requirements to employees.
Be responsible for tracking and recording all revenue work on the Current Work List.
Assign and communicate corporate job numbers.
Maintain work planners and Monday.com.
Update the sludge, sewage and vacuum log and the waste management pick-up log
Assist in arranging travel, accommodation, car rental, expense account and other requirements for out-of-town work with Accounts Payable.
Maintain and administrate Company or sub-contractor access arrangement for all waste transfer sites (including Dofasco, Nanticoke, Stelco, Imperial Oil, Shell, etc.)
B) WASTE MANAGEMENT
Assist in the completion and distribution of waste program service documentation (Waste Management Work Requests & Work Orders) as required.
Assist in the verification and accuracy of all customer generator numbers and waste classes for non-vessel waste shipments.
Maintenance of the Corporate customer generator number, manifesting information and waste class list as required.
Assist in updating Waste Material Inventory Logs.
File & maintain hard copy bill of lading records.
File & maintain hard copy manifest records.
Assist in various other aspects of the Waste Management Program as required.
C) INVENTORY CONTROL PROGRAM
Print barcodes as required.
Assist in processing stores shipments received (verify shipment correctness, stock, and enter stores stock into Inventory Management Software).
Assist in assigning stores stock to staff as requested.
Assist in ensuring all stock is reconciled to a job/vehicle and enter this data into Inventory Management Software.
D) HEALTH & SAFETY
Assist in arranging and maintaining company or sub-contractor access arrangements for all controlled work sites (including ArcelorMittal Dofasco, US Steel, Imperial Oil, Shell, SLSMC, Port Authorities, etc.).
Complete WHMIS, Regulation 347, and other training as required.
Organize, update, and maintain the Corporate Training Matrix and associated documentation.
Arrange training for employees as directed by the Operations Manager.
E) GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES
Co-ordinate desk set-up and IT requirements for new employees.
Organize & Maintain COVID-19 related documentation.
Assist employees with assigned equipment issues.
Maintain the vessel phone number and email address list.
Assist in other departments as required/directed.
Complete data entry as requested/required
