Material Handler - Forklift Operator Job at Adecco Canada
Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Material Handler - Forklift Operator to work directly for our client located in Fort Erie ON. In this role, you would have several duties and responsibilities you must fulfill. Some of the most common duties every Material Handler will need to accomplish include operating a Counterbalance Forklift to move raw materials into assembly areas and organizing stock in the warehouse and/or containers into small areas, as required.

- Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials with equipment.
- May be asked to complete other tasks in the department based on skills and qualifications.
- Adhere to and practice all safety rules as specified by company/ legislation.
- Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials to designated locations in the warehouse/plant/storage containers.
- Perform receiving inspection; deliver product throughout the plant
- Putting away received materials in the proper storage locations
- Demonstrated strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Resourceful
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
- Valid forklift certification and COUNTERBALANCE experience
- Previous warehouse experience
- One to three years shipping receiving experience required and must have forklift truck certification.
- Important - Have safety boot
- Be in good physical condition.
- Stand for Shift Duration.
- Important - Have a good physical strength
- Strong PC skills (ERP systems, MS Office applications).
- Must be healthy and safety conscious with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Must pass a criminal background check if required
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent
