Logistic Specialist Job at Asus Computer International
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand transportation and industry market conditions throughout North America; seasonal vs. non-seasonal and communicate with the entire team issues that could impact operations as a whole.
- Monitoring all inbound and outbound activities for 3PL warehouse
- understanding of the trucking industry and knowledge of customs bond, customs documentation for trans border movements.
- Responsible for the timely, accurate and appropriate escalation of issues.
- Work with analysts, managers, and customers in order to quickly resolve issues in the most efficient manner.
- Verifies and keeps records on all inventory adjustments, both incoming and outgoing.
- Investigates inventory discrepancies
- Working with a variety of departments to ensure functioning operations
- Other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in transportation, freight brokerage and 3PL (third party logistics) is required.
- Prior production and inventory control experience helpful.
- 1-2 years experience in a distribution, transportation and/or logistics environment is an asset.
- Strong communication skills: verbal, written, listening.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven ability to encourage and motivate others in a positive manner.
- Excellent keyboarding skills; Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Able to work with multiple systems simultaneously.
