LEAD AUXILIARY SERVICES COORDINATOR

The Lead Auxiliary Services Coordinator is responsible for scope, cost and scheduling, and will oversee the EPCM implementation with regards to HSSEA, execution and quality for all Auxiliary Contract Services at the Côté Gold construction project. They will make responsible behavior a priority for contractors, ensure that safety is a prime value that cannot be compromised, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Area 1:

Accountability for scope, cost and scheduling and oversight of EPCM with regards to Auxiliary Services such as, but not limited to: Camp Management and Catering, Busing, Security, First Aid, ERT and Site Services.

• Oversee EPCM/Contractors daily operation and report all deviation from safety, standards, scope, schedule and budget.
• Oversee EPCM/Contractors daily operation and identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
• Monitor contractors against established standards and expectations as well as establish KPI’s, prepare progress reports and issue cost forecast for the Owner’s Team.
• Represent the Owner’s Team at the Construction Site on matters such as project cost, schedule, scope and standards.
• Ensure operation methods and procedures (SOP’s) for each contractor scope are developed and maintained based on the Project Management Team’s expectations and project guidelines.
• Promote and demonstrate IAMGOLD values at all times.
• Ensure ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders related to the execution and operation activities.
• Understand the role of a constructor and is comfortable is in getting work done through others by influence and negotiation.

Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves

minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalents

• College diploma or University Degree in a relevant field.

Work experience - Nature & Length

• At least 10 years’ experience in the related field.

• 5-7 years of related management experience.

• Experience in the mining/natural resource industry and in camp management is preferred.

• Proven interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge, skill and ability to demonstrate in the workplace sound supervisory principles, practices and techniques.
