We are looking for a Junior Web Developer to help support existing WordPress websites by responding to open tickets for our current websites. Our ideal candidate has a basic understanding of WordPress (front-end and back-end), HTML5, and CSS3, as well as a strong desire to learn and grow. With the support of our team, our goal is that you will grow towards working on larger projects and initiatives.
This is a remote position with the ability to work in our Downtown Toronto office.

What You Will Do:
- Support existing WordPress websites as part of an integrated team of developers
- Troubleshoot issues and maintain the back-end performance of our customers’ websites
- Add and change images, content, and the functionality of websites
- Work independently, managing your own caseload of tickets
- Utilize Jira, our ticketing system, to process your tickets thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Communicate with internal customer service representatives on tickets as needed
- Attend daily huddles with your team to brainstorm and collaborate
- Stay up to date with new/emerging best practices to overcome technical issues
What You Will Need:
- At least 1 Year Web Development Experience, coding HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and JavaScript
- Some WordPress Experience (front-end and back-end)
- CSS Pre-Processor Framework (SASS or LESS)
- Experience with Photoshop
- PHP experience or knowledge
- Cross-browser, multi-platform, multi-screen development
- Source Control Management (GIT)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the Automotive industry
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience building out WordPress Plugins
