The primary responsibilities of this position includes but is not limited to the following:

• Perform dynamic analysis using Orcaflex Software and other relevant tools

• Provide input on flexible pipe behavior, riser fatigue, optimization, and dynamic installation analysis as required

• Write technical documentation, including emails, reports, presentations, and notes

• Ensure compliance with TechnipFMC design rules and procedures

• Support SURF installation, project engineering, and IMR activities

• Integrate Python and MS Excel for dynamic analysis

• Manage data and perform weekly backups

• Use proprietary in-house software for technical calculations and documentation

• Assist senior engineers in developing pipeline system designs at minimum cost and within the permitted timeframe.

General:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Ocean Engineering discipline or equivalent

• Experience in offshore / subsea industry would be an asset.

• Ability to obtain a TWIC, VISAs and medical certifications such as BOSIET, UKOA and/or OGUK.

Knowledge / Skills Requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

• Solid foundation in any programming language

• Demonstration of programming knowledge is an asset

• Completed Bachelor of Engineering

• Technical writing skills

• Good communication and organization skills

• Ability to multi-task

• Eagerness to learn and take initiative

• Team player with the ability to adapt to dynamic environments.

  WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office environment - Spends a minimum of 95% of the time in an office environment. Rare potential shop exposure if visiting that work environment for short periods of time which requires lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change.

  
  

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequent sitting and operating a computer when in the office.

  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs / ladders while onboard the vessel, as well as exposure to sea conditions (vessel movement, summer / winter temperatures, etc.)
