We are looking for driven Journeyman Electricians to join our team collaborating with our estimators, project managers, and apprentices to contribute to Patriot Electric Ltd.'s commitment to quality, and business goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for collaborating with other staff in planning and organizing projects to lead an installation and oversee all aspects of a project while adhering to appropriate legislation's, and policies and goals of the organization. The key functions of the Journeyman are not just to carry out electrical installations: apprentice development, commitment to quality, and professional presentation of installations are some things that Patriot Electric Ltd. promotes and expects from its crew of Journeyman.

Collaborating with suppliers, contractors and professionals in the electrical and general construction industry, the Journeyman will be managing and assisting crews, and leading installations on commercial and residential projects and job sites in following areas:

Electrical Service and Distribution

Life and Safety Devices and Systems

Lighting Control and Home Automation

Data/Tel System Networks

Electric Vehicle Chargers

Smart Systems

Audio/Video System Installations

CCTV, Security, and Door Access Control

ABILITIES

Organizational and multi-tasking skills including an ability to adapt to tight deadlines and frequent change of priorities

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills while working well with different personality styles

Take initiative to be a safety leader and promote safe work practices regarding and Canadian Electrical Code and associated legislation's

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Excellent knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, skill to navigate it to obtain necessary information

Excellent knowledge of industry products, practices and standards

Accurate interpretation of electrical drawings to conduct installation to specifications

Utilizing available resources to obtain necessary documentation

Knowledge of MS 365

• Accessing reports, plans and project documents in Word, Excel and Cloud database

Planning out projects by collaborating with various departments and occupations to define clear project goals, deliverables, timelines, constraints etc.

Awareness of project activities including financials, schedules, risk mitigation, deadlines, and overall quality

Verbal and written communication skills

Strong time management skills, specifically the ability to multi-task and prioritize a high work load

QUALIFICATIONS

Electrical Journeyman certification required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $32.00-$42.00 per hour
