We are currently looking to add a Journeyman Electrician to our Sparwood, BC region.
Reports to: Manager, Technical Services
Shift: 7 x 7, 12 hours per shift, rotational between days and nights
Location: Sparwood, British Columbia
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation

Responsibilities
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
Read and interpret electrical drawings to wire/repair electrical systems.
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
Install, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep applicable records.
Assure quality control is maintained as per quality requirements.
Follow all safety rules and wear PPE at all times.
Follow on call schedule as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Journeyman Certificate
Basic skills and knowledge of PCL controls and wiring.
Strong understanding of electrical theory.
Understanding of power wiring specific to rig installations.
Ability to troubleshoot and make decisions.
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to perform under pressure, in a fast paced environment.
The ability to travel and be away from home for extended periods of time.
