Our onsite IT Support Specialist is key to our client relationships and has a direct impact on our company’s success, by helping our clients’ businesses increase efficiency, profitability and sustainability. This is a standalone role, central to our operations, and offers the opportunity to make it your own, backed by a supportive team.

How you’ll spend your time:

• Work with clients to identify and implement solutions by assisting remotely from our Okotoks office through remote access, telephone and email
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on various devices (computers, servers, etc.)
• Install, configure and maintain servers, workstations, software, wired and wireless networks
• Create and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures
• Ensure all customer activity is logged in our CRM system
• Provide customer training as required
• Install and configure RFID devices & scales – running cables and mounting equipment (training provided)
• Improve company processes to continually raise the bar for client support
• Some travel to client sites (occasional overnight stays)

What you’ll bring:

• Technical Diploma in Computer Science/related discipline, or equivalent experience/certification
• Experience in a similar MSP/technical role
• Advanced knowledge of MS Windows operating systems (client & server), Windows server for SMBs, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365 administration for multiple clients
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting wireless radios and access points
• TCP/IP Networking knowledge
• Aptitude and enthusiasm for new technologies
• Ability to quickly learn and understand client businesses and ITS software products
• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working hands-on/using power tools (running cables and mounting equipment)
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• Strong time management, ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid Alberta Driver’s License
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (nice to have)
