IT, ECE, ECEA Job Opportunity: In the Garden Childcare Centre is looking for a new educator to join our team of dedicated staff. Located in beautiful North Saanich, we offer a three to five-year-old program for 25 children and an infant/toddler program for 12. In 2020 we relocated to a newly renovated space with a large play yard and view of the airport. This centre is also conveniently located within walking distance of the airport playground and Patricia Bay. Our facility also shares a building with a Karate dojo with opportunities to take classes.

We are looking for an IT, ECE or ECEA teacher and can provide opportunities to work in both programs. We value play based learning and try to maintain a fun and enriching atmosphere for the children. The ideal employee would be a compassionate and fun team player who shows initiative and brings new ideas to the workplace. They would also help us achieve our main goal which is to provide a safe, happy, and nurturing environment which creates a great place to grow.

In the Garden Childcare Centre is an enjoyable place to work, full of coworkers that quickly become friends. We have had very little staff turnover and many employees have been here for over eight years. We are excited to welcome another member into our staff and see what they can bring to our team.

Start date: The start date can be very flexible and we are willing to wait for the right person to finish school. We are also open to practicum students, and will help in any way we can to get the right person qualified.

Qualifications:

- IT, ECE or ECEA (or student)

- First Aid

- Criminal Record Check

- Immunization Record

- Two Letters of Reference

Compensation:

- Wage will be based on experience from $18-27 plus government wage enhancement

- Extended medical and life insurance after three months for full time staff

Hours:

- Full-time or part-time work

- Flexible scheduling

- The centre is open 7:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday

- Closed all Stat holidays and the week between Christmas and New Years

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: $18.00-$27.00 per hour
